Biography

I was originally born and raised in Houston, Texas. Both my mother and father are Hispanic and growing up I was always a very active child. I can’t remember a time when I was little that I was not involved in something. I danced from the age of 3; ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, lyrical, as well as competitively until I was 15. I did gymnastics as well for a few years, and in high school took up cheerleading and continued with it even into my college years at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. I’ve always enjoyed staying active and loved the physical challenges that playing sports brought.

I began weight training in 2012 with my husband, Derrick, out of a desire to better ourselves and take our fitness journeys to the next level. We both believe in the importance of living healthy and balanced lives. In 2013, my husband and I both decided to compete in our first NPC competition, we enjoyed every minute of our prep and it was such a rewarding and amazing experience making it to that stage. My goal is to continue to better myself in the fitness industry, and continue on competing in hopes to one day earn my IFBB bikini pro card.

In 2013, I began nursing school at National University. In November of 2014, I achieved my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This was such an overwhelming accomplishment for me and one that I am so very proud of. My heart and passion in life ultimately lies in helping and caring for others. I am passionate about educating others on how to lead healthy and happy lives. As an RN I believe that it is my responsibility to be a caregiver, educator, & advocate inside the community. I believe that no matter what stage in life each one of us can lead a healthier lifestyle. I hope to educate and impact others with all the knowledge I have acquired both through my degree and professional career. I strongly believe our bodies our temples to be greatly taken care of!
